During Todd Fuller’s time at Hill End, he plans to create a new animation titled Bloke which addresses mythology around the Aussie bloke. The 3-8 minute film will be created using stop motion, charcoal, chalk, pencil and paint on paper. Large scenes will be rendered in situ before being manipulated in the studio frame by frame. Bloke will use local landscapes and a composite character constructed from a variety of Australian males as well as anatomical references. The piece will look at the similarities between place and person in a physical, emotional and psychological manner, addressing the contemporary realities of the stereotype.
