Murrays Cottage

Poet and novelist Mark O'Flynn will use his time in Hill End to work on his series of ekphrasis poems where he uses the visual stimulus of painting as a springboard into a poetic reflection on the act of painting and its subjects. He will also write a sequence of poems about landscape, particularly the contrasting natures of the landscape of the Blue Mountains and that of Hill End. This series of work will provide the basis for O'Flynn's fifth book of poems – Landscape and paintings.
