Georgina Pollard's practice revolves around an exploration of paint and the human, historical and creative relationships that determine its status in contemporary society. By pouring house paint in grids, Pollard constructs self-supporting structures of thickly gridded paint without the need of a canvas. In Hill End Pollard will gather house paint from local residents to create works that form an interior or domestic map of the Hill End community and her relationship to it.
